Family and law: the relationship between matrimonial law and religion in Chilean civil law
Abstract
This text, which is the written version of the author’s presentation on the relationship between family and law, given at the Co- lloquium of the Latin American Consortium for Religious Freedom in 2024, addresses various aspects of Chilean legislation on the status of couples, particularly civil marriage, considering the impact of the religious fac- tor on its regulations and the interrelations- hip between the two regulatory systems, legal and religious.
