Abstract

The General Rapporteur's Office of Hellen Hall offers a summary of the presentations given at the XXIII Colloquium of the Latin American Consortium for Religious Freedom, which focused on the relationship between family and religious freedom in different countries. Through a comparative analysis, it examines legal models and common challenges, such as the evolution of the concept of family, the regulation of marriage, religious education, and the limits to cooperation between the state and religious institutions. The text highlights both existing tensions and opportunities for collaboration to protect religious freedom and strengthen family life, underscoring the importance of dialogue between religious communities, legislators, and judicial systems.
